Molecular Formula: Zn(BF4)2
Molecular Weight: 347.17
Properties: White crystal, usually with 2/4/6 crystalline waters. Relative density 2.120. Soluble in water and alcohols. Will loose crystalline water at 600?. Can generate amides which is not resistant to heat and can be decomposed into metals and fluorides, ammonia, ammonium fluoroborate. Can easily absorb moisture, toxic.
Use: As resin curing agent in rinse/wear resistant textiles; as catalyst in textiles resin finishing and in the production of synthetic resins; also as fire retardant, pesticide, electric welding material, electroplate liquid and adhesive for cobalt.
